Hi Julia,
Great blog! And your garden is beautiful--I've really enjoyed the pictures. I am working for the Maryland Home & Garden Show that is coming to the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium in March, and I'd love to speak with you more about it. Feel free to email me at rebecca@himmelrich.com.
Best,
Rebecca

What a great picture -- we live in the city -- our wildlife is squirrels.

Julia--
You posted a photo of a bitone iris last year, which I ran across. You were hoping to name it. I don't think it will be easy, since it appears to be an iris from maybe 1910 - 1925, based upon the bloom shape. Check out ALCAZAR on the Argyle Acres website... it is similar. Also, Iris City Gardens near Nashville carries many Historic ones like yours, and they may have photos.

Chuck, thanks for the iris guess. Someone else also thought it was 'Alcazar' but I think I decided it was 'Indian Chief' which someone told me is from 1929 and is an old reliable iris.
